What Does my child need to bring?

Essential:

·         Swim suit

·         Beach towel

·         A bag lunch & Water bottle (quart size)

·         Water shoes/sandals (We HIGHLY encourage sandals with straps or booties that will not easily fall off of feet)

·         Sunscreen (min. spf 30)

·         Back Pack

Good Idea to Bring:

·         Lip Balm

·         Windbreaker top

·         Sweatshirt or Fleece Top

·         Dry change of clothes (shorts, socks, t-shirt)

·         Tennis Shoes or Hiking Shoes

How does a Typical Day Run?

9:00-9:15 Arrival and Welcome

9:30-10:30 1st Water Sports Rotation

10:30-11:30 2nd Water Sports Rotation

11:30-12:15 Lunch and BR Break

12:15-1:15 3rd Water Sports Rotation

1:15-2:15 4th Water Sports Rotation

3:00-6pm After Care available (fee)

What size are each group?

Chesapeake Adventure: 10 kids per age grouping
Rock n River: 10 kids

What is the age breakdown per group?

Chesapeake Adventure: 8-11, 12-16

Rock n River: 10-14

Can friends/siblings be grouped together?

Absolutely!! Our purpose is to create the MOST comfortable environment for your children.

For how many weeks can I register my child?

Chesapeake Adventure Experience: as litlle as one week or as many as you like
Rock n River: one week

What is the child/staff ratio?

Chesapeake Adventure: 5:1
Rock n River: 4:1

What certifications do the instructors have?

Sailing instructors are certified by US SAILING. These instructors are also certified in First-Aid and CPR. Parents interested in learning about US SAILING's certification program, may visit their site.

Windsurfing instructors are certified by US SAILING. These instructors are also certified in First-Aid and CPR. Parents interested in learning about US SAILING's certification program, may visit their site.

Kayak and SUP instructors are certified by the ACA (American Canoe Association). These instructors are also certified in First-Aid and CPR. Parents interested in learning about ACA certification, may visit their site.

Are there lifeguards on duty?

YES, at all times. We provide full-time lifeguards to monitor your child whenever he/she is on water.

Who provides the transportation service for Watersports Summer Programs?

in 2020, we do not have a transportation option, therefore it is up to you to provide your own.

Are there locker rooms and shower facilities?

Yes, we have outdoor showers and a large locker room / changing area for boys and girls respectively

Do you have a Snack Bar

Yes, our snack bar sells all kinds of beverage options as well as healthy snacks

Do you have indoor space in case of foul weather

Yes, we have ample space indoors to provide shelter in case of thunderstorms, etc.

How long has Ultimate Watersports been running water sport programs?

Since 1985.

What is the condition of the water sports equipment?

Our fleet of Kayaks (100 units), Paddle Boards (100 units) and Windsurfers (25 units) are replaced every 2 years. Our sailboats are replaced every four years and are cared for with a rigorous weekly maintenance schedule.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

Ultimate Watersports does not provide refunds for our summer camp programs. Under certain circumstances, we will provide a credit towards future camp weeks or for other Ultimate Watersports programming.
