Gunpowder Falls State Park - Hammerman Area

Get ready for this year's most rewarding paddling event. The 1st Annual Paddle for the Cure offers everyone (paddlers and non-paddlers alike) the chance to make a difference in the lives of many. The mission of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation ( www.komenmd.org ) is to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by advancing research, education, screening and treatment. The funds you raise through the “Paddle” support the critical efforts of the Komen Foundation. Each stroke you paddle and every dollar you raise helps in the fight to prevent and cure breast cancer.

The day's events will include paddling races for the more experienced, a distance course for the casual paddler, intro clinics and a short course for the first-time paddler, and a Parent-Child course for families. Regardless of your paddling (or lack of) experience, you can join us to make a difference! Ultimate Water Sports will supply every participant with a kayak, paddle, and life jacket at no extra charge. If you wish to bring your own gear, feel free.
