Learn to sail with confidence!

If you've done some sailing but it's been a while, this is the perfect way to get you back in the swing of things! Three total hours of sailing, including private instruction from a U.S. Sailing Certified Sailing Instructor. Our sailing venue is, hands down, the most beautiful and cleanest water on the Chesapeake Bay! Located at Gunpowder Falls State Park in Baltimore, Maryland, you will learn to sail on the pristine waters of the Gunpowder River where you are surrounded by nothing but state and federal parkland.

* Maximum of (2) students per boat.
* Must be 10 years of age to participate.
* Successful completion of this course will qualify you to rent Hobie Cat sailboats at Ultimate Watersports.

Learn-to-Sail Course

This is THE course for newcommers to sailing. At the end of your 6 hours, you'll be able to handle your own sailboat with confidence and success! It's as simple as that! Learn the fundamental skills, sailing theory, safety and self-rescue with the most state-of-the-art sailing equipment and a proven U.S. Sailing curriculum. It's quick and it works...that's our Guarantee!

All sailing students must be proficient swimmers and generally feel comfortable in open water. Water shoes are required. Advance payment is required in order to guarantee your reservation.

OPTION A - Split Session (recommended):

Saturday, 10am-1pm & Sunday, 10am-1pm

OPTION B - All-In-One Day:

Saturday, 10am - 4pm
We do NOT offer Sunday, 10-4pm

GUESTS MUST ARRIVE AND CHECK IN 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO SCHEDULED LESSON TIME. ALL CLASSES BEGIN AND END ON TIME.
