Although a tributary of the Gunpowder River, Dundee Creek resembles a serene lake hidden in the woods. For some, it is a vacation paradise right next door–not more than twenty minutes from the Beltway and far from the bustle of urban traffic. Its tidal waters, verdant marshes, submerged vegetation, and riparian forest (fairly rare in the Chesapeake area) teem with emerging life, and there’s hardly a moment when the striking beauty and vibrant energy of nature is not on display.

RENTALS
Kayaks are rented on a first come, first served basis. We provide paddles and life jackets. We assist with boarding, launching, and return, as necessary. Those who are new to kayaking may wish to enroll in the Quick Start Kayaking course, which is held at the Hammerman Beach.
Our rental hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (with last boat launch being at 5:00 PM) on week ends, May through October. For more information, see Rental Policies and Directions.

TOURS
Tours are arranged on a pre-registration basis. Call 410 335 5352. That way, we can manage our fleet to serve particular needs, and a kayak is assured for everyone.
All tours are guided by an experienced naturalist. They require at least four guests. No experience is necessary. Unless otherwise noted, the guest limit is twelve, and the minimum age is eighteen.
Arrangements can be made for groups who wish to charter a tour for a date and time not already scheduled. Call us!
